Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist the client's cooperation in ensuring his/her safety. If the client does not cooperate, I will take further measures without the client's permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure his/her safety.

COVID-19 Policy

For office appointments, CDC guidelines for outpatient healthcare settings, including disinfecting, physical distancing, and hand washing/sanitizing are being followed. Just as Connie is following currently known best practices for control of COVID-19 spread, clients are asked to do the same. If a client, a member of a client's household, or someone the client has been in contact with over the last 14 days has tested positive for COVID-19 or is exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness, please delay scheduling.

Additionally, the waiting room is shared with another therapist, and face coverings are required for all unvaccinated children, teens, and adults while in the waiting room.  Face coverings/masks will also be worn by Connie and her clients during all play therapy sessions.
