Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist the client's cooperation in ensuring his/her safety. If the client does not cooperate, I will take further measures without the client's permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure his/her safety.

COVID-19 Policy

For office appointments, CDC guidelines for outpatient healthcare settings, including disinfecting, physical distancing, and hand washing/sanitizing are being followed. Just as Connie is following currently known best practices for control of COVID-19 spread, clients are asked to do the same. If a client, a member of a client's household, or someone the client has been in contact with over the last few days has tested positive for COVID-19, please delay scheduling.
